Compulsory NCC training is imparted right from Class VI to VIII where by our cadets grow to be disciplined, honest, patriotic, secular and wedded to the national cause transcending all barriers of caste, creed and language. The School has an Independent Unit of NCC Junior Wing and Senior Wing. Every student irrespective of age is a member of N.C.C. The N.C.C. syllabus includes training pertaining to all the three services.

The Scouts and Guideswere started in NMVK to contribute to the kids’ education, through a value system. This is based on a Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world such that people are self-sustained as individuals and they play a key role in building a constructive society.
The Junior Red Cross was introduced in our school to inculcate leadership qualities and service mindedness in the young minds. They are also motivated to help the poor and the needy. JRC stands for purity, love, peace and selfless service.
KumariArivialPeravai [Kumari Science Forum] is a voluntary group doing service in the field of science and Technology in Kanyakumari District. We are giving training to our students to give scientific awareness to the village students and also to bring out the hidden talents in the young minds.
Kalaripayattu also known simply as Kalari, is an Indian martial art and fighting style that originated in modern-day Kerala. Kalaripayattu is held in high regard by martial artists due to its long-standing history within Indian martial arts which is taught in our school to make the children strong, bold minded and fear free.
Skatingprogramme in our School makes the students to reach a goal to reduce absenteeism and misconduct among its participants and to improve academic performance, especially in the area of science.

Yoga promotes physical strength which helps a child to have awareness of his body and its efficient functions.Balance is a key element of yoga. We are teaching Yoga in our campus to maintain mental and physical poise, as mental clarity and stability.
Drawing plays a big role in our cognitive development. It can help us learn to write and think creatively, develop hand-eye co-ordination, hone analytic skills, and conceptualise ideas. In our school, we are giving drawing classesin learning in many ways, including visual mapping, reflective thinking, organizing and presenting information.
Quizzes help students to learn, because these tasks involve retrieval practice, or thinking back to information previously learned and bringing it to mind. We are conducting Quiz programmes to improve the learning level of students, to increase attendance and to promote test expectancy
